Katrina has over 23 years of experience providing podiatric care to aged care facilities including dementia units.  She has a caring and understanding approach to treating patients who may not understand what is going on.

Homes visits may be available in the local area, to patients who are unable attend the clinic, and we are able to provide the appropriate care in the home.

Foot disorders in the elderly are extremely common and are the cause of much pain and disability, and a consequent loss of mobility and independence.

Common foot problems in the elderly are

  • Arthritis
  • Decreased blood flow
  • Decreased sensation
  • Skin can become more fragile and prone to corns, callouses, cracking
  • Nails can thicken and become difficult to cut
